Does the law firm charge you a retainer or require that you pay court costs out of your pocket?  Some attorneys will write a demand letter for free, but then ask for a large retainer in order to file a lawsuit. Other attorneys will require that you pay court costs out of your pocket.  Filing a lawsuit costs over $300, and other costs such as depositions or mediation, can easily run $500 each or more.  Some attorneys actually require that you pay, out of your pocket, all of your attorneys’ fees, and this can easily exceed $10,000.  Unlike most firms, Dalton & Associates, L.L.C. advances all costs and fees associated with your case and only recovers them if you recover.  In the unlikely event that you do not recover, you will not be responsible for our costs or fees.  Make sure you understand what you will be required to pay before you select your attorney.
   
   
4. Is the attorney an experienced trial attorney with many years of experience?  Some attorneys offer their services to consumers but have limited experience practicing law or handling warranty cases.  You can look up licensing information on attorneys at  www.texasbar.com.  Dalton Law Firm’s attorneys are experienced and know how to effectively and efficiently handle your case.
